Ixcateopan Archaeological Zone I
In Ixcateopan in the state of Guerrero, remains of the ancient city of the Chontal people of Guerrero can still be found. It had a strong link with the Matlalzincas and most of this town remained under the current town of Ixcateopan de Cuahutemoc. It has altars of Mexica influence in a circular shape.
